Most difficult dinner recipes
Anything out of the French Laundry cookbook. There's a reason why people shell out the big bucks to eat there.
I've made all the items on the list and have been blogging about them on I'm curious to know why you picked these particular dishes Tanya?
Sounds like a challenge to me! Thanks Tanya, I'm inspired to try these and post the results. Starting next week, I'm going to (gulp) make one of each of these every week (I have to admit that my blood is running a little cold right now). Anyone want to join me in this one? Could be fun!
What about tamales from scratch?
Fondant Cake !!! with homemade fondant... not the ready made! it is very challenging but the result is gorgeous. There is also an easier recipe where you melt marshmallows in the microwave as a base for your fondant but I haven't tried that version.
I don't think that any dish is 'hard' per se', the key is always to be taught the proper method or technique. I teach and people so often think they could never make that dish in a restaurant and I break it down and they are able to do it. It's all about not getting intimidated and finding a good source for information. I tried but can't think of anything too 'hard'. Too much of a pain to be worth the effort for the end result...now I could think of a few. i.e. Consume, Pate of any kind, food with bugs in it. =-)

I'd have to say the original Huffington Post article was about, directed toward, or responding to people who really don't cook at lot - or maybe at all. I mean, "cooking in for a week" isn't normal routine ? ? ?
Altho I agree, eggs are very easy to overcook, and certain egg dishes are a disaster when overcooked!

What is the most common dinner recipe?
In the United States, one of the most common (yet popular) entrees is a classic meatloaf. If you'd like a recipe, just ask.
